Dr. Amber Turner is an obstetrician gynecologist at OGA Women’s Health who is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence based care through every stage of a woman’s life.

An Idaho native, Dr. Turner grew up in Idaho City and attended Idaho State University before earning her medical degree from the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her interest in women’s health began at a young age after having the opportunity to witness the births of her nieces and nephews. Those experiences sparked an early interest in obstetrics and a passion for women’s healthcare that continued throughout her education and training.

Dr. Turner enjoys the broad scope of OB GYN care, from annual exams and preventive care to pregnancy, delivery, surgery, and the management of conditions such as abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, and endometriosis. She values the opportunity to build long term relationships with her patients and to support them through both exciting milestones and challenging moments.

Her approach to care is centered on providing patients with clear, evidence based information and helping them understand all of their options. Rather than making decisions for her patients, Dr. Turner sees her role as a partner, helping each person make healthcare decisions that best align with their individual goals, values, and circumstances.

Patients can expect a welcoming, judgment free environment where they feel comfortable discussing concerns of any size, including topics that may feel personal or difficult to talk about. Dr. Turner wants every patient to leave their appointment feeling heard, supported, and cared for, with the confidence that they have someone in their corner.

Dr. Turner was drawn to OGA Women’s Health because of its collaborative approach to care and the breadth of experience among its physicians, midwives, nurse practitioners, and primary care providers. She values being part of a team that can bring different perspectives and areas of expertise together to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Turner enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Maisie. She is also an avid fan of board games and card games and enjoys spending time with the family’s two cats, Crinkle and Sassy.
